7 Ways To Stay Happy and Healthy!

Hey babes! I decided to make a different type of post today. Everybody has gone through a hard time in their life, whether they are young or old. With a healthy mindset and positive outlook, you will eventually move past it. Here are some things I did, and continue to do, that got me through a not-so-great year.

1.  Remove Toxic People From Your Life
This is the first step, I believe, to becoming truly happy with yourself and your life. I've been with friends and boyfriends who just brought me down all the time, and impacted my life so negatively. If you're around negative people, you will start to think negative. BUT that works the same with positivity. By removing these negative people from your life, you will start to surround yourself with people who make you feel confident and happy, as opposed to feeling put down and not good enough. Even if you think you need them in your life and you find it hard to break ties with them, believe me, it will be in your own benefit.

2. Do The Things You Love!
Doing things you love is so important. If you're an artist, start a painting. If you're a writer, start a short story. If you're an athlete, go train. By doing things you love, you will feel more confident and proud of yourself.

3. Spending Time With Loved Ones
This could be family, your friends, or your boyfriend. Being around the people you love and the people who make you feel loved is the best way to stay happy. They will support you and make you feel important, and spending time with them is sure to leave a smile on your face! So go out for lunch with your mum, or go for a walk with your friend, you'll find your day got a little bit better!

4. Pamper Nights!
This one is more for the girls! The best way to relax and have time to yourself is a good Sunday night pamper. Run a hot bubble bath, burn your favourite candle, put on a good face mask, and grab a good book. You're set! You'll find yourself more relaxed, and taking time for yourself to take care of you is so good for your own confidence and happiness. Go have a pamper night tonight!

5. Loving The Best Parts of You
Body image is important. This brings me back to removing toxic people from your life. Once these people are gone and you've surrounded yourself with positive people, your confidence is sure to rise and your body image should become more positive. But it doesn't start with others around you for you to love your body, it starts with you. Look in the mirror, and choose the things that you love about yourself. I love my eyes, my naturally nice eyebrows and my fit body because it helps me with my sport. What do you love about yourself? It also helps to put positive quotes on your mirror when you get ready in the morning. Or, try saying one thing you love about yourself before you walk out the door, and you'll flaunt it all day! Us young women need to make it more acceptable to love your body, because right now, hating it is more accepted. Be confident and love the skin you're in!

6. Focus On Your Goals
If you don't work for what you want, it won't come. By keeping your goals in mind, you will work harder and will eventually achieve them. Personally, I want to be a doctor and own an infertility clinic, and I want to see the rest of Europe. Those are long term goals I suppose, but by completing short term goals, like passing important classes, it will be bringing me closer. Stay focused and you will keep working, and you'll realize how proud you are of yourself once you've achieved those goals.

7. Diet & Fitness
This may seem like a basic one, but to me, this is very, very important. What you put into your body will show on the outside. If you eat absolute crap and sugar, it will show in your skin, and it will lead to future health problems which nobody wants. But, if you're eating whole foods loaded with nutrients, and staying hydrated, your skin will glow, your hair will be shiny, and internally, you will be taking care of yourself. Fitness is so important too! For me, it's not hard to get up off the couch and go workout because it puts me in a great mood and I feel proud and accomplished once I'm finished. For some people it is hard though, but just remember what working out will ACTUALLY do, which is release endorphins to make you happy, and you're body will be much healthier. Eating well and exercising is taking care of you, your mind and your body, which, in the long run, is the most important. So go get a big glass of ice water and go for a run!

So there you go guys, my seven tips for leading a healthy, happy life. There are obviously many more, but those are the ones that keep me positive, happy, and feeling healthy! I hope you're all having a great weekend and I'll talk to you soon :)
